Since the freakin’ survey that a keyboard is dirtier than a toilet seat, I have taken extra care to keep the keys clean. Yet the best effort hasn’t been cool. And that H1N1 influenza has only added to the worries of trying to keep it clean. Now, with Vioguard’s UVKB50, a self sanitizing keyboard, we could certainly feel safer. Employing a proximity detector, the keyboard slides out all fresh and sanitized from the computing setup, and when the user’s done, it slides back to re-cleanse with anti-bacterial ultraviolet light. That’s some keyboard now, but hey, did you hear it costs $899? Shocker, that’s why Vioguard hasn’t done it for us, but instead targets it toward medical professionals.
