Seen at the Digital Contents Expo Tokyo is the c-loc, touchscreen enabled mapping software for “time and space.” Developed by Tokyo Polytechnic University, the futuristic technology here allows the user to visualize and play around with the geographical and chronological data via 3D graphics. This data (allowed by the c-loc) includes anything from text-based information to images, sounds and videos. Targeted at archeologists, historians and other such researchers, from what we hear, the c-loc can let you ‘visualize how a certain building (space) evolves over the years (time)’ – if you want some more insight, just hit the jump to see the video.
