Having established themselves as human peers and assistances already, robots are now trying to get us adults into some shape, helping us with our exercise routine. Thanks to the students from USC’s Viterbi School of Engineering, who’ve developed the Socially Assistive Robot that we could have as our physical instructor motivating and guiding us through the routines with its articulated arms. The Robot is under experimentation, where he will demonstrate moves with its arms that volunteers’ are expected to follow, besides coaching these volunteers by showing the same moves on a video screen. Lie down and be as lethargic as you can, because once the robot’s reached your home, he wouldn’t let you have the merry time anymore. Video demonstration after the jump.
