Panasonic announces first portable Blu-ray player, but for a price
Bharat | Jun 2 2009

Portable DVD players have been a rage. Seen first at CES earlier this year, Panasonic has finally announced the first portable Blu-ray player with high intentions of making a rage too. Dubbed the DMP-B15, the portable Blu-ray player along with an 8.9-inch WSVGA screen (1,024 by 600 resolutions) features Panasonic’s VIERA CAST internet accessibility and BD Live. The first portable Blu-ray player from Panasonic, the B15 can play back Blu-ray discs together with DVDs, makes provision for a SD card slot to store videos and images, and also has Ethernet and HDMI output, all this for a rather expensive $800 price tag.
