When the motive is to grow big and the efforts are true, you often succeed. Taking the modding craze to another new level is this Liquid Cooled PC Desk by the folks over at Popular Mechanics, who with the sheer fortitude have pulled off the most extravagant PC mod. Initially a thought of resurrecting a desk for a PC seems ridiculous, but then modding has to be absurd for the sheer creation of it.
“Gaudy” is a word synonymous with this mod that’s made from two relatively large acrylic panels bolted to a custom built aluminum frame. The mod features a 3.0 GHz Intel Quad Core processor, 4GB of Kinston HyperX DDR3 RAM, two 300GB 10,000 RPM VelociRaptor hard drives, a GeForce GTX 280 graphics card, an Antec TruePower Quattro kilowatt PSU, a Sony BDU-X10S Blu-ray drive and a glycool liquid cooling system with 7 fans and 13 bright blue neon lights well within the desk.
