The rumor mill sets aloof yet again, and this time it’s about Acer doing a laptop with a 3D display. An indication here that after a slight knock on home viewing the 3-D is paving its way into computing, that is the future alright. The unit in works is expected to be a 15-inch notebook with built-in software to convert 2D into 3D, but we also read that the lappy could require the user to wear a pair of goggles for the actual 3D effect. Slated to be released by the end of October, we can still doubt there, for the 3D notebooks aren’t coming before Windows 7 ships, as the Acer notebooks will have Windows 7 as the OS, therefore the wait could be longer.
